October 20, 2016
On Tuesday, November 15 at 3:00pm Eastern, NAST’s Legislative Committee will host a webinar providing NAST members with a recap of the election and what to expect from Congress in the lame duck session during the remainder of 2016 and in the coming year.
Williams and Jensen’s Matthew Hoekstra will provide a review of the results of Election Day 2016 and what kind of impact they will have for issues relevant to treasurers and staff. He will address Congress’ plans for the lame duck session including what legislation could be introduced and passed and plans for the next government funding deadline. He will also provide insight on the makeup of the 116th Congress and what we should expect at the beginning of next year.
There will be time after the formal presentation for questions and answers. This webinar will take the place of both the November Legislative Update call and the Business Meeting call hosted by the Legislative Committee. Those calls on November 3 and November 17 will be cancelled. The webinar is open to state treasurers, their staff, network affiliate members, and NAST Corporate Affiliate members.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
