Please register for Financial Education in Schools: Why Students Need to Learn the ABCs of Personal Finance on Jul 18, 2017 2:00 PM EDT at:
Professor Annamaria Lusardi discussed the importance of financial education in the article, “Should College Students Be Required to Take a Course in Personal Finance?”, which was published on the front page of the Personal Finance section of The Wall Street Journal on March 20, 2017. Lusardi is passionate about financial education for students of all ages.
In this webinar, hosted by NAST’s Financial Education & Empowerment Committee, Lusardi will discuss the article and will also share findings on financial literacy from the 2015 OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). PISA is a triennial survey administered across 65 countries to assess 15-year-old students’ performance on several subjects. Lusardi helped to design the financial literacy assessment, which was first added to the PISA survey in 2012. Register for this to hear results from the latest survey.
Biographical information and other available materials will be circulated to all registrants prior to the webinar. There will be time after the formal presentations for questions and answers. This webinar is open to state treasurers, their staff, network affiliate members, and NAST Corporate Affiliate members.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. We hope to see you there.
