Bringing Together the World's Most-Respected Public Finance Leaders for an Intense Financial Curriculum

The National Institute of Public Finance (NIPF) In partnership with the NAST Foundation and the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University is devoted to improving the understanding of public finance with special emphasis placed on assisting state, county, and municipal governments In executing sound fiscal management.

The NIPF offers an Intensive public finance curriculum, providing crucial insight into current public finance issues; developing the skills required for the future, free from commercial influence; and sharing Ideas, best practices, and cutting-edge strategies.

Public Treasury Management Program

The Program, in partnership with the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University, focuses on the areas of investments and pensions, public finance, debt management, and executive treasury management.

The Public Treasury Management Program is designed exclusively for public treasury and investment management professionals who engage the public sector.

Participants learn the core technical skills required of public treasuries in a way that is relevant and transferable between functions and subnational governments nationwide. Next National Institute of Public Finance: July 16–19, 2023

The NIPF is held every two years at the Graziadio campus at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.  Each cycle, leading state treasurers, CIOs, public treasury professionals, academicians, and private-sector thought leaders convene for an intense four-day curriculum. Over the past three cycles, keynotes have been provided by:

  • 73rd United States Secretary of the Treasury John W. Snow (2019)
  • 70th United States Secretary of the Treasury Robert E. Rubin (2017)
  • 75th United States Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner (2015)
