Governance and oversight represented by a diverse set of states and provinces
NAST is overseen and governed by its Executive Committee, consisting of officials representing a diverse set of states. In addition, there are numerous boards and committees that provide necessary governance to various areas of the association. The association has a long history of elected and appointed leadership. This committee provides strategic leadership on the implementation of the Stephen Beck Jr. Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act by monitoring federal legislative and regulatory activities that impact state ABLE plans, developing strategies to improve the plans at the federal level and monitoring best practices for those with an eligible disability who want to save and invest for a better life, achieve financial empowerment and prepare for a more independent future.
