The National Association of State Treasurers monitors federal legislative and regulatory activities and promotes legislation that will positively affect state treasuries and their constituents. Find out more about recent improvements that the association has worked on with members of Congress, the administration and the federal regulatory agencies on our Federal Relations page.
NAST produces two specialty publications dealing with state treasury offices – State Treasury Activities and Functions and State Treasury Profiles.
It also produces NASTNews, a weekly enewsletter for members, and NAST Daily Clips, a daily aggregate of treasury related news stories.
State Treasury Activities and Functions provides a wealth of information on state investment policies and practices, local government investment pools, cash management policies and debt management. It also contains information on state pension funds, 529 college savings programs and unclaimed property. The most recent version is from 2012 and can be accessed here.
The 2013 PDF version of the State Treasury Profiles can be freely downloaded by members or purchased by non-members through our online store. NAST has switched to an online format to bring our members the most up-to-date Profile information. You can access those materials through our Treasury Profiles page using the password Profiles.
For more information on accessing any of these materials, email NAST or call (859) 721-2190.
